Obituary: Mack Brown, Business Owner, Crane Operator

Mack Arthur Brown, 69, of Moncks Corner, passed away November 17, 2012.

Born in Conway, he was the son of the late Rufus and Curley Cannon Brown and husband to Patricia Brown. Mack worked as a crane operator with the South Carolina Ports Authority and later owned and operated Lowcountry Transmission and several other small businesses. His favorite times were spent with his family and on the river fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lee Brown of the home; three sons, Mack "Buddy" Brown and Willie Brown of Moncks Corner and Curtis Brown of North Carolina; daughter, Tammy Creel of Moncks Corner; two brothers, Terry Brown and Wayne Brown; three sisters, Willa Mae Hensley, Drunilla Hensley and Mary Adkins; nine grandchildren, Mackey, Curtis Jr., Jessica, Aaron, Willie II, Priscilla, Travis, Davey and Christopher Brown and one great grandchild, Natalie Brown. Mack is also survived by many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Jack Brown.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at 2 p.m. in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, 869 St. James Avenue.

Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
