The car was reportedly travelling east on the road when the 1993 Isuzu Rodeo drove off the left side of the road and then swerved from one end to the other to correct before overturning and striking several trees, according to Beres.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle. The collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner's Office.
