Overturned Tractor Kills Moncks Corner Man

An 85-year-old Moncks Corner man died Thursday afternoon in a tractor accident, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.

Marion R. Shearouse of Moncks Corner was trying to pull a truck with a tractor just before 6 p.m. when the tractor flipped over backwards and pinned him underneath, according to Salisbury.

Shearouse was pronounced dead at the scene by Chief Deputy Coroner George Oliver. The death was ruled accidental and the cause of death was massive head trauma.
