Patch Readers React to Pies-On Closing

The news earlier this week that  prompted several readers to respond.

Faithful patrons were sad to hear the news:

• "NOOOO!!! They delivered not just pizza, but lasagna dinners and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and salads and SO MUCH MORE than just pizza!! This makes my lip stick out farther than when I found out Santa wasn't real!" — Helen K

Patch user Glori was hoping for a new Italian restaurant to fill the void. "If anyone loves to make good pizza, looking for a store, please buy this place, I'll patronize it!!" she said. "And I'll help the social media to get business. I'll even cook for you!"

Facebook follower Scott Cooper said he's hoping the owners of King's Pizza Italian Bistro off Ladson Road will take over. 

"Their food is outstanding and their pies are to die for," he said. "Being from New York myself, it is hard to find good pizza down here but they have it. It's def worth the drive over there if they don't buy this place. Trust me u won't be disappointed!"

Audra Albridge also had an alternative for Goose Creek residents hungry for some Italian fare. " at the entrance to Crowfield next to Wendy's," she wrote. "They make theirs homemade and its awesome!!! We eat there at least once a week and they have delivery!"
