Post 166 Gets Second Shot Sunday at Legion Tourney

Goose Creek has one more chance after 11-1 loss to Gaffney.

Goose Creek will have another shot at success Sunday in the second day of the American Legion state baseball tournament.

The team was the first to score Saturday, but faced a crippling 6th inning as Gaffney scored 10 runs.

Goose Creek (17-9) will get another shot as the Post 166 team takes on Greenwood (13-13) at 12:30 at Goose Creek High School.

If they win, they'll be up bright and early Monday for a game against either Manning or Sumter. Those two teams play at 1 p.m. today at Charleston Southern University.

Tournament passes are available for $20 and the per-game price is $6. The money will go towards the cost to put on the tournament, including field rental, hiring umpires, etc.

The teams playing include Goose Creek, Easley, Manning, Gaffney, Greenville, Sumter, Greenwood, and Florence.
