Races Set For Berkeley School Board

Two incumbents face challengers in November race.

With a ballot full of unopposed candidates, Berkeley County voters are getting a little more competition, courtesy of two Berkeley County School Board races.

Filing closed Wednesday for five seats on the board.

Incumbents Phillip Obie II in District 3 and Kathy Schwalbe in District 5 are running unopposed for another term.

In District 9, incumbent Donna Marino is not running. Instead, Scott Marino has filed for the seat. He faces no opposition.

In District 1, board member Kent Murray will face a challenge from Kevin Cox. In District 7, board member Wilhelmina Moore has competition from Marty Housand.
