Trebor Keffer and Melisaa Cudd’s 4year old Kindergarten class recently read the stories “The Little Red Hen (Makes a Pizza)” by Philemon Sturges and “A Letter to Amy” by Ezra Jack Keats. As a culminating activity, students followed a recipe to create their own mini pizza masterpieces. To extend the learning and make the activity more relatable, students helped write an invitation to the school counselor, Ann Schuler inviting her to attend their class Pizza Party as modeled in the Keats’ story, “A letter to Amy.”
