Red Bank Annexation Vote Tuesday
Goose Creek could be heading east with a special election for properties near Red Bank Road.

The City of Goose Creek is looking to grow Tuesday. Voters in the area along Red Bank Road near Joint Base Charleston will get a chance to vote on whether to come into the municipality.
Technically speaking, the area includes: “All parcels of land located on Plainfield Avenue; all parcels on Cranford Road; 1 Elmora Avenue; 1 & 2 Aldene Avenue; 1 & 2 Roselle Avenue; 2 Prestwick Circle; 285 Garwood Road; Eastward from 1056 Red Bank Road to Pomflant Access Road extending Southward along the Eastern portion of Henry E. Brown Jr. Boulevard terminating at the corporate limit of the City of Hanahan and Northward along Henry E. Brown Jr. Boulevard to Elmora Avenue.”
Not-so-technically speaking, the area includes the small businesses on either side of Red Bank Road from Goose Creek High School to the base entrance, including the school. It also includes homes on Plainfield Avenue, as well as most of the commercial and industrial sites east of Henry Brown Jr. Blvd.
