Red Cross Assists Family After Goose Creek Fire

Minor damage to home temporarily displaces four.

Red Cross volunteers assisted a Goose Creek family Tuesday night following a house fire at 647 Old Back River Road.

The home sustained minor damage. The family of four, including two children, received temporary housing, money to replace food, toys for the children and kits with personal emergency supplies. 

The Red Cross has assisted 394 individuals affected by disasters, including home fires, in its seven-county region of Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Hampton and Jasper counties, since July 1.
