Report: Gun Fired During Armed Robbery

North Charleston police searching for woman involved in incident off U.S. 78.

North Charleston Police are searching for a woman who reportedly fired a gun during an armed robbery Tuesday morning off Highway 78, according to a report from Live 5 News.

Spencer Pryor with the North Charleston Police Department said officers responded to Lot 35 of the Plantation Acres Mobile Home Community at 9496 Highway 78 around 1 a.m. after receiving reports of an armed robbery.

The victim told police the unknown suspect, a woman in her early 20s, demanded money and fired one shot into the floor. She fled without taking anything.
