Second Arrest in Cross Shooting Death

Suspect arrested in Myrtle Beach.

Authorities have made a second arrest in connection with the shooting death last Sunday in Cross.

Brandon Jerell Singleton, 20, of 334 Sunshine Lane, St. Stephen, was arrested Saturday in Myrtle Beach, according to the Berkley County Sheriff's Office.

Singleton has been charged with murder in the death of Tyron Jenkins, 30, of Pineville on May 20 at Da Zone club on County Line Road.

On Thursday, Berkeley County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Detron Lamont Giles, 32, of Wells Drive, St. Stephen. He is also charged with murder and held without bail at Hill-Finklea Detention Center.

Deputies responded to Da Zone at 3:30 a.m. May 20 in reference to a shooting. Jenkins was reportedly in an altercation prior to the shooting, according to Berkeley Sheriff's Office spokesman Dan Moon.

No other arrests are expected at this time, Moon said Saturday, but the investigation continues.
