Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday in Birmingham, Ala., honoring Army Pfc. Julian Colvin. The 21-year-old was a graduate of Goose Creek High School. Colvin <a href="http://www.defense.gov/releases/release.aspx?releaseid=15471" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">died July 22 in Kandahar</a> from wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 508th Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C. Friends continue to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/julian.b.colvin" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">remember Colvin with posts on his Facbook wall</a>. One Charleston friend wrote, "You touched lives everywhere you went and you are truly someone special."
