Snake Bite Victim Gets To Celebrate Holidays This Year
Zach Zsala, 9, "back to normal" after venomous attack in 2011.

Paralyzed by a snake bite over the 2011 Thanksgiving break, Zach Zsala spent the holiday season last year in the hospital. A year later, he's home and moving around again — even taking Tae Kwon Do classes.
Zach stepped off the trail in North Charleston's Wannamaker County Park, not seeing the snake until he had stepped on it. The rattlesnake bit him twice in the leg. The dangerous injury brought the Howe Hall AIMS community together to support Zsala.
WCIV, News 4, checked back in with the nine-year-old and his family over Thanksgiving and found the long road to recovery is finally paying off and Zach is getting to enjoy the holidays.
