Stratford Instructor in Army’s Transportation Corps Hall of Fame

Recent induction for Lt. Col. Tripp Blanton.

Lt. Col. (retired) Tripp Blanton, Senior Army Instructor at Stratford High School was recently inducted into the Army's Transportation Corps Hall of Fame.

This recognition is reserved for retired soldiers and officers that served with distinction at the senior levels in the  Transportation Corps.

Brig. Gen. Steve Farmen, Commanding General of the Transportation Corps, presented Blanton with a certificate endorsed by the Secretary of the Army officially making him a Distinguished Member of the Regiment.

Blanton spent 22 years in active duty. He spoke to Patch last year about to train in the JROTC program.

"It is so refreshing to be a soldier and to be able to come back to Charleston and recognize there are still good kids in our school system," he said.
