Stuff the Bus Donation Drive Launches Today

District looking for supplies for students and teachers

This week, the Berkeley County School District will be accepting school supplies in its inaugural Stuff the Bus Berkeley campaign.

The program will provide supplies for needy students and help restock supply closets at local schools. Superintendent Rodney Thompson said the district has lost $20 million in funding in the past three years and that has cut spending on necessary supplies.

The program is in coordination with Walmart, Trident United Way, the Education Foundation and the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce.
