Suspect in Bank Card Fraud Arrested

Second individual in store footage cleared of any charges.

After releasing grainy store camera footage earlier this week, Goose Creek Police officers have arrested the suspect in a bank card fraud case.

Damontrai Glover, 18, of Prospect Way, has been charged with two counts of financial transaction card fraud and one count of receiving stolen goods.

Police say a Bloomfield woman's wallet was stolen Dec. 5 after she left it in her car overnight. There were two fraudulent charges totaling $18.68 at Sunoco on St. James Avenue.

But it was a failed attempt to use the card at Walmart that led to the security camera shot used to ID Glover.

Police were also able to identify the other young man in the security camera footage. It was determined that he wasn't a suspect in the case and he won't be charged, according to GCPD spokesman Capt. John Grainger.
