Romans 8:26-28
And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
God has His plans for you and they are always “exceeding abundantly beyond all expectation” (Ephesians 3:20). In simple terms that means that if you pray to have God’s will (what He wants for you) in your life, it will always be your best deal. You can never go wrong. He says, “I have plans for you, not for calamity (anything bad) but to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). During any time in your life, tricky or not so tricky, whenever you have no earthly idea what to do, tap into the Holy Spirit. Ask God to send you a message by lining up all the circumstances in a way that it is very obvious what you should do about any situation. Say, “God, if something isn’t for me, close the door. If something is for me, let it present itself in a way that I don’t miss my blessing, the “thing” I’m supposed to have, or the place I’m supposed to be.” God says that “He rewards those who seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). Why would He want to keep what He wants for you a secret? Once you have asked the Holy Spirit to talk to God and find out what His will is, even if its not about you but about someone you love, it’s time to let go. Keep repeating to yourself, “Faith, rest….faith…rest.” That will remind you that you have turned over your issue to the Master of everything, and you are totally confident that He will work it out in the way it is supposed to be. In the meantime, as you are waiting for any particular circumstance to resolve or present itself, speak words of hope and faith. Let others know that
you are waiting on God’s answer. That will not only encourage them, but as you speak words of hope and faith that God will answer your prayer in the best possible way, it will strengthen your own heart and increase your faith as well. So remember the next time you are looking for something to happen in your life or in the life of someone you love and you have no idea what the “right” thing to even pray about is, let the Holy Spirit do your talking. He will search God’s heart, to get you your personal “best deal in the universe.”
