Car Hits Teen Cyclist Near Hanahan High

A teenager was hit by a car on Murray Drive recently in an alleged hit and run accident with few clues.

The victim told police that he was riding his bicycle at noon Aug. 2 on the sidewalk over the Turkey Creek Bridge toward Hanahan High School. He said a white or silver sedan heading in the same direction him him.

The motorist kept on driving as the victim fell off his bicycle. Police report the victim sustained minor injuries along the side of his body where the vehicle hit him and to his hands and elbows from where he tried to break his fall.
