Teens Raising Awareness About Healthy Choices

Goose Creek High students hosting Teen Health Fair and Healthy Choice Assembly.

Release, Berekely County School District:

Goose Creek High's Service Learning class is hosting a series of events to raise awareness about healthy choices. The events will focus on topics such as sexual activity, abstinence, healthy relationships, sexually transmitted diseases, underage drinking and substance abuse.

"As prom and summer break are approaching, we wanted to provide information for students to remind them about making wise decisions," said Denetria Fleming, a junior in the Service Learning class. "It's important to think about consequences before acting. These events will connect students with great information and support."

On Apr. 24 from noon to 3:30 p.m., the Service Learning class will host a 'Teen Health Fair' in the school's media center.
