Three Arrested in Moncks Corner Drug Bust
Deputies seize more than $67,000 worth of cocaine.
The Berkeley County Drug Enforcement Unit has seized more than $67,000 worth of cocaine and crack, said Sheriff's Office spokesman Dan Moon. Three suspects have been charged with possession of illegal drugs.
Deputies were responding to complaints of drug activity at 497 Nelson Ferry Road in Moncks Corner when they found the three men who were allegedly trying to flee the scene, according to Moon.
Two of the men, 23-year-old Walter M. Bash and 26-year-old Curtis Shine, both of Moncks Corner, were allegedly seen exiting a pickup truck at the home. Officers said they found cocaine and a weight scale in the console of the truck.

Esau Branch Jr., 26, of Moncks Corner, was also found at the seen. Deputies said he threw a bag of cocaine on the ground.
Bash was charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine and trafficking cocaine base within half a mile of a school. Branch and Shine were charged with possession with intent to distribute within half a mile of a school.
