Proverbs 3:1-3
My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments; For length of days and years of life, And peace they will add to you. Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart.

Timothy 6:3-11
But godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentment. For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. And if we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves with many a pang. But flee from these things, you man of God; and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.. Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.
It is so easy to get spun up with worry. But worrying about something won’t make it better. What will make “it” better is to do something about whatever is bothering you, or to simply let it go. Whatever your issue is, God wants you to fix your hope on Him. That means if you are worried about money, do what you can, work hard, save your money, do your best to be smart about your investments, then at the end of the day, whatever happens in your life, God controls. And what He really doesn’t want is for you to be so anxious about all sorts of “stuff,” that the “stuff” becomes all you think about. Dwell on God’s healings words. Write them on the “tablet of your heart.” Be kind to all and unmovable in your faith. As you demonstrate to others that no matter what happens, you are at peace because God is in charge of your life, you will keep your own spirit at peace. And as you teach others your method for staying calm in the midst of adversity, you will be doing what God wants you to do: ministering to the people that He was put in your world.
