What was shaping up to be a busy week in the Palmetto State has slowed down as (but he'll be back) and .

Former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney will be in Charleston this afternoon, . He'll also be joined by Gov. Nikki Haley, who will be following Romney back up to New Hampshire this weekend.

The event will be at 3:45 p.m. at the Charles Towne Landing Historic Site's Founder's Hall, 1500 Old Towne Road, Charleston.

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman's daughters, known on the campaign trail as the @Jon2012girls will be appearing at 6 p.m. at the Pearlz in Columbia's Vista district. They'll be the guests on Pub Politics Live, an internet political talk show hosted by GOP consultant Wesley Donehue and Democratic consultant Phil Bailey.

They won't be the only ones stumping for their dad in the Vista. Jackie Gingrich Cushman will be representing her father, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, at a meeting hosted by the Capital City Women's Republican Club from 6-8 p.m. at Carolina Wings, 600 Gervais Street, Columbia.

Coming up: Romney takes his campaign to Myrtle Beach on Friday before heading north for debates this weekend.
