A small child has died from injuries sustained when he fell in a Summerville pond, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
Brandon L. Homes Jr., 20-months-old, died Sunday. His death was ruled accidental, with the cause of death listed as injuries from submersion in water, according to Salisbury.
Brandon was found Tuesday in a pond at Farmington Villages in Summerville. He was transported to Trident Hospital and later to Medical University of South Carolina.

The death was investigated by the Summerville Police Department and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
