Trident Hosts DUI Road Course At Goose Creek High
Students educated on dangers of drunk driving and texting while driving.

Before Goose Creek High students take to the roadway for the prom this year, they're getting a lesson today on the dangers of drunk driving or distracted driving.
Trident Medical Center is sponsoring a DUI Rodeo on Wednesday in collaboration with the High School Injury Prevention Coalition. The students will be using "drunk goggles" and texting devices while driving a golf cart through an obstacle course of traffic cones.
More than 500 students are expected to participate in the program promoting safety in advance of the prom and graduation season. Presentations from local first responders will include graphic demonstrations of the dangers of driving under the influence and distracted driving, along with information on emergency reponse careers.
