
An 18-wheeler wreck on I-26 killed a Georgia man Thursday.
Clyde Bennett, 52, of Augusta, Ga., was traveling east on the interstate near mile-marker 198 when his tractor trailer ran off the left side of the road and hit several trees, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
The death has been ruled accidental with the cause of death as head and body trauma. Bennett was wearing his seat belt, according to Salisbury. The coroner's office, the State Highway Patrol and the State Transport Police are investigating the wreck.
