Tuesday Fatality Latest on Dangerous Stretch of I-26
Accident near mile marker 187, death ruled an accident.

Cornelius Anthony Harvin, 23, of Summerville, was heading east on Interstate 26 at 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday when his truck ran off the side of the road near mile marker 187, according to Berkeley County's Deputy Coroner Darnell Hartwell.
The car overturned and hit several trees. Harvin was airlifted to the Medical University of South Carolina and pronounced dead at 1:49 a.m. His death was ruled accidental.
Hartwell said it was unclear whether Harvin was wearing a seat belt. The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the state Highway Patrol.
