Teen Brothers Dead in Cainhoy Road Wreck

S.C. Highway Patrol: Jeep hit tree in single-car incident.

Two teens are dead after a Cainhoy Road wreck on Sunday morning.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading north on the road at 10:10 a.m. when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury identified the victims as Matthew Richardson, 19, and Kelvin Richardson, 17, both from Wando.

Salisbury said the two teens died from blunt force body trauma. They were not wearing seat belts.

The wreck is under investigation by the Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner's Office.
