Two Injured In Morning Collision on I-26
Highway Patrol: Summerville man and daughter sent to hospital, other motorist charged.

A Summerville motorist and his daugther were reportedly taken to the hopsital Tuesday morning after a collision on Interstate 26 on Tuesday morning near the Charleston peninsula.
Christopher Burnett, 33, of Summerville, was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, along with an unnamed passenger identified as his daughter.
The driver of the other vehicle, Isabel Detzler, 42, of Charleston, was charged with driving too fast for the road conditions. Both drivers were reportedly wearing their seatbelts.

According to Highway Patrol, the drivers were heading east on Interstate 26 just before 7 a.m. when Detzler lost control of her 2002 Hyundai, hitting the 2010 Toyota pickup driven by Burnett, causing the truck to overturn.
The incident is under investigation by the Highway Patrol, according to Cpl. Bob Beres. Two lanes of traffic were closed on the interstate for roughly an hour.
