Banks are growing in the Goose Creek area.
Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union broke ground on its new North Goose Creek Boulevard branch in May and should be open this fall. Bayer currently has a location on College Park Road near Crowfield.
Now, BB&T is clearing land on University Boulevard beside the CVS, according to the City of North Charleston. The new branch is half way between the bank’s St. James Avenue location and another office in front of Northwoods Mall. Interestingly enough, BB&T recruiters visited nearby Charleston Southern University earlier this year.
