UEC is Hiring and More Local Jobs

UEC Electronics in Hanahan continues to expand. This week's latest opening is for a drafter. The job requires modeling and drafting support, including detailed engineering drawings. The firm is looking for six years of experience and previous work with design software. There are plenty of other opportunities at the growing company.

The City of Hanahan's recreation department needs a maintenance worker. The position is responsible for maintaining the park and playground facilities. "Performs various duties such as preparing and maintaining playing fields, installing and repairing sports equipment, building and repairing structures, cleaning and maintaining buildings, etc.," according to the job post. The job requires lifting and the ability to operate mowers, tractors and other equipment.

The Goose Creek Days Inn has three openings: front desk, night auditor and room attendant. The front desk position requires previous hotel experience. For the night auditor, the successful applicant will need to show some basic accounting skills and preferably have some experience to back it up. And, in case you were expecting something different, the housekeeping position isn't a cakewalk: "Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, squatting, pushing and pulling."
