Venus in Family Circle Cup Action Wednesday

Family Circle Cup action continues today with play this afternoon from Marion Bartoli and Sabine Lisicki, followed by a nighttime match between former cup champions Jelena Jankovic and Venus Williams.

Venus won Tuesday in a 6-4, 6-3 match against Iveta Benesova, according to a Family Circle Cup release. "My serve felt great," Williams said after the victory. "I feel calmer here. I feel more match tough, as they say."

Bartoli will face Russia's Vera Dushevina. Lisicki won her first WTA title at the Family Circle Cup in 2009. She'll take on Czech Andrea Hlavackova.

Serena Williams beat Elena Vesnina on Tuesday in a 6-3, 6-4 match, moving on to the third round.
