Victim in Suspected Homicide Faced Child Porn Charges
Investigation may hinge on missing Toyota Tacoma.

Update, 5:20 p.m.: Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury says results of an autopsy of 71-year-old Roy Ray Bennett will have to wait for results of a toxicology test. Salisbury tells Patch that results of that test could take up to two months.
Hanahan Police Lt. Michael Fowler said the case is being investigated as a homicide because of the "manner in which the body was found." He said he could not give further information at this point in the investigation.

Hanahan Police and the State Law Enforcement Division are investigating the death of Roy Ray Bennett as a possible homicide. The cause of death should be determined by an autopsy Monday, said Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
Warrants in July 2009 accused Bennett of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor for allegedly downloading images of minors engaged in sexual activity, according to a Post and Courier report.

Search for a Truck
Hanahan Lt. Michael Fowler told Patch on Monday that a few people had been interviewed in regards to the death and they had two or three more people they were hoping to interview in the case.
But there were no leads yet on a motive, Fowler said, noting that the key will be finding Bennett's silver 2009 Toyota Tacoma. The truck is believed to have been taken from the home and Fowler said important evidence or information in regards to the death may be in the vehicle.
"We've got to find that truck," Fowler said.
