Goose Creek Trail Extension Approved
City Council awards contract for trail around municipal complex.

Goose Creek has hiker/biker trails running for well over 20 miles throughout the city, including several that snake through Crowfield Plantation.
But one high-profile route runs along North Goose Creek Boulevard, ending rather unceremoniously at the parking lot to the city's municipal complex.

This week, the Goose Creek City Council approved a short, but important extension for the hiker/biker trail that will send it around to the Goose Creek Community Center and on to the large pond behind the municipal complex.
The work will extend the 10-foot-wide trail another 1,650 feet. The project will cost $199,572.30 — under budget. The winning bid was from First Construction Management of Hanahan.
