Week Ahead: Busy Week For Public Meetings

Municipalities, county, and school board working hard this week.

 

Berkeley County Council committees will be meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Berkeley County Administration Building, 1003 Highway 52 in Moncks Corner. The Public Works and Purchasing Committee will discuss forming a stormwater utility program. The Justice and Public Safety Committee will be discussing moving boundaries between the Goose Creek Rural Fire Department and the Pimlico Rural Fire Department.

Goose Creek City Council
meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Marguerite H. Brown Municipal Center, 519 N. Goose Creek Blvd. The council will be holding a public hearing and taking a final vote on a handful of changes to the city’s zoning ordinance. More on that here tomorrow.

The Berkeley County School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at 231 E. Main St. in Moncks Corner.

Hanahan City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Municipal Court Complex, 1255 Yeamans Hall Road.

GOP Presidential Primary candidate Newt Gingrich . He’ll be answering questions at Charleston Tea Party Town Hall meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in North Charleston City Hall, 2500 City Hall Lane. According to the campaign, Gingrich will also be speaking at an electric cooperative event at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Charleston Place Hotel at 205 Meeting St.
