6 p.m. at Crowfield Golf and Country Club, 300 Hamlet Circle
This classic rock tribute band returns to headline The City of Goose Creek’s Sounds of Summer concert series. WD-50 is a little Jimmy Buffett and a whole lot of CCR. The event includes food and other vendors. Bring a blanket or a chair. Don't bring your dog. Free
Saturday
10 a.m. at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 205 N Goose Creek Blvd.
The car show is expected to include cars from the 1930’s to today. There will be music from Dj Jazzy J, door prizes, and a 50/50 raffle. $10
2 p.m. at Sapphires Sports Bar and Grill, 203B N Goose Creek Blvd.
This local pub will be sending some love to Ider, Ala., a small town devastated by a recent tornado. The event will last until close and includes musical acts and special menu items.

Charleston Battery’s "Christmas in June"
7:30 p.m. at Blackbaud Stadium, 1990 Daniel Island Dr., Daniel Island
The Charleston Battery will be hosting a Toys for Tots toy drive on Saturday, offering a free ticket to the game in exchange for a new unwrapped toy. The “Christmas in June” event will also include a visit from Santa and a half-time Teddy Bear toss onto the field. More information at 843-971-4625.

7 p.m. at The Olde North Charleston Picture House, 4820 Jenkins Avenue, North Charleston
The issue of healthcare costs gets personal in this documentary about two Georgia whistle-blowers who shine a light on hospital corruption in their small town. A discussion on healthcare costs and legal issues around medical billing will follow the screening. $2 members/ $5 non-members
