We're Looking for Your July Fourth Events

There's a lot on the calendar, but there's always room for more fireworks.

Have an event coming up this weekend? Email greg.hambrick@patch.com or put it in our event listings.

If you don't have an event planned, don't worry. There is a lot to keep you busy.

On Friday, Monks Corner hosts its July Fourth Street Dance from 8 to 11:30 p.m. The event at the Train Depot will include music from The Custom 4+2 Band. On Saturday, the town hosts its July Fourth Parade at 10 a.m. down Main Street. For more info, call 843-899-4708.

Beginning at noon Saturday, the Berkeley County Family YMCA presents its Festival in the Park. The free event will be held at Old Santee Canal Park in Moncks Corner. There will be food, crafts, jump castles, water slides, and music. And a fireworks show at dusk from the Cooper River. For more info, call 843-761-9622.

On Monday, Cypress Gardens will be hosting its own July Fourth festival with music, boat rides, and nature walks. The event runs from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.

The holiday will wrap up at Goose Creek’s Fabulous Fourth in the Creek from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Marguerite H. Brown Municipal Center. The Entertainers will be on stage. There will also be a jump castle and kiddie tattoo parlor. The night will end with fireworks, of course. Parking is limited, but the city will be offering free shuttle service to/from the Casey Center.
