Student Jamar Goss recently participated in the Music Corps annual PLAY Essay contest. As a result of his essay about the clarinet and music education, young Goss won a brand new clarinet. His essay was chosen out of many entries from across the Lowcountry region. Due to the assistance and leadership of band director Louis Pfeiffer, this year marks the fourth year in which Westview Middle has had a winner in the contest.
