Westview Participating in Walk to School Event Wednesday

Westview Primary and Westview Elementary, along with nearly 200 other schools across South Carolina, will be participating in Wednesday's International Walk to School Day.

According to the DOT, more than 40 countries participate in the event, encouraging safer routes for walking and bicycling and emphasizing physical activity, pedestrian safety and conservation. 

For the Westview event, more than 200 students, parents and teachers will be parking at two locations near the school and using the city's hiker/biker trail to walk safely to school.
