Westview Primary Assistant Principal Receives Top Honors
Lindsey Marino recognized by South Carolina Association of School Administrators
Lindsey Marino, an assistant principal at Westview Primary School, has been named the 2013 Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
Marino was recognized as one of Berkeley County's top administrators last month, going on to represent the district in the SCASA nominations.
"We are very pleased that Lindsey Marino has been named as the SCASA Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year," said Molly Spearman, executive director of the  South Carolina Association of School Administrators. "She is an exceptional ambassador for education in our state."

Westview Principal Lucretia Carter also raved about her fellow administrator.
"Dr. Marino is not afraid of hard work and doesn’t ask of others what she isn't willing to do herself," she said. "She understands that a true leader models what is to be expected."

The award was presented on Monday in a surprise announcement at Westview Primary.
"Lindsey shows her passion for the students at Westview Primary every day in every aspect of her job," said Superintendent Rodney Thompson. "She represents everything a South Carolina educator should be."
