What Are Goose Creek's Worst Roads?

It's time to make a list of our traffic and safety concerns.

At a recent planning workshop, Goose Creek City Councilman Kimo Esarey began moderating a conversation about what Goose Creek should look like in 2032. One of the first suggestions to come up: an overpass at the intersection of Goose Creek Boulevard and Red Bank Road/St. James Avenue.

Meanwhile, Brickhope residents are raising concerns about an expanded Henry Brown Jr. Boulevard — while Mayor Michael Heitzler says this will be a safe and important bypass for downtown Goose Creek.

Crowfield Plantation leaders have offered their help in the Brickhope fight. Crowfield is already fed up with truck traffic cutting through their neighborhoods.

And there are more concerns in various stages of repair: including a Cane Bay traffic light and the sharp curve as driver head down Old Mount Holly Road from Hwy. 52.
