What Should Go Here? Rivers Restaurant Edition
Sit-down diners are closing left and right. What should fill the void?
There's a bit of a plague that has settled in on Rivers Avenue, that strip of North Charleston that seems to bridge Hanahan and Goose Creek: Dependable dine-in restaurants are shuttering.
The lack of restaurants has been a concern for Goose Creek residents for a long time, but the retail strip in North Charleston is now feeling the pain, too.

But, down the street, the list is growing of large, vacant restaurants looking for new life. Carey Hilliards has been closed for years beside the Goodwill Store. More recently, Shoney's closed near Captain D's and now the only thing the Ryan's is serving is extra parking for the neighboring Nissan dealership.
So, what should take the place of these dinner staples? Is there a restaurant chain we're missing in the area? Are these spots doomed to overflow parking for their neighbors? Tell us in the comments below.
