Matthew 6:26,27,30-34
"Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and [yet] your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? "But if God so arrays the grass of the field, which is [alive] today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, [will He] not much more [do so for] you, O men of little faith? Do not be anxious; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself.”

Romans 8:26-28
And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for [us] with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to [the will of] God.. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to [His] purpose.

It’s tricky when you love someone that isn’t settled in their life. It may be that they are really young and you wonder what will become of them. Or they might be really old and you wonder what will become of them. But more than anything, you want them to be happy and secure in their life. You want that for them and you want that for you, because unless they are fine, you will never be fine. And that is the tricky part because you can’t control their journey. You can love them and advise them, but you really don’t know what is best for them. And even if you did, you couldn’t make them do what you want them to do anyway. And that’s why God is just the best deal around. When you don’t have a clue what to do, put that loved ones in God’s hands. Tell them that you are putting them and any decision that they have to make regarding their life, in God’s hands. Tell them that you are totally confident that God will show both of you the path that they should take. And then intensely watch for your signs and signals along with that loved one. When your mind starts to get anxious about what is going to happen to that person, just keep repeating to yourself that God knows exactly what he or she needs, and rather than praying for what you want for that person, pray for what God wants. That way the best thing will happen. That’s what the verse: “Seek first His kingdom and all these things shall be added to you” is all about. Teach your loved one to put all their decisions in God’s hands. And if their spirit isn’t far enough down their road to hear or understand, you put them in God’s hands. That is the only strategy that will let your heart be at peace, because you might not know what to do, they might not know, but God always knows and He will line up the events in the best possible way, if we just ask.
