Wieters Ejected For Arguing With Umpire
Stratford grad tossed from game for first time Tuesday.

Orioles catcher, and Stratford High grad, Matt Wieters was ejected from Baltimore's Tuesday game for arguing with the umpire about how pitches were being called.
Wieters was upset about two calls in the fifth that led to a scoring run for the Toronto Blue Jays, which went on to win the game, 8-6, according to MLB.com.

"There were some calls earlier that I thought went their way that were close calls, but at the same time, I thought we had a pretty big zone all night," Wieters told MLB.com. "He gave me plenty of rope. ... You can't argue balls and strikes, and it's something where I knew might be going there [getting ejected], but I still had to say my piece." Â
