Winners and Losers Jan. 15: Santorum Welcomes Endorsment
Paul skips Saturday forum, but could be making a big announcement Sunday.
Winner: With poll numbers failing to take off like they did in the final days before the Iowa Caucus, former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Penn.) needed some good news. He found it.
The 150 Christian conservative leaders met for two days in Texas to discuss the possibility of endorsing a candidate. They announced Saturday that .
"People are now taking a serious job of looking at all the candidates," Santorum said in response to the news.

Loser:Â U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) has found signs that , but he took a day off in the important Palmetto State primary race Saturday. While other candidates participated in a candidate forum with undecided voters hosted by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Paul declined the invitation.

As he did in New Hampshire, Paul has a vocal group of supporters in the S.C. GOP Primary, but he'll need every vote he can get and Saturday's televised forum was a missed opportunity.Â
That said, Paul is prepped to welcome a big endorsement in Myrtle Beach on Sunday. And he'll be there for the highly anticipated debate on Monday.
