Witnesses Describe Assault Suspect as Christian Biker

Waffle House patron cut in the hand; suspect was allegedly a motorcycle enthusiast.

Goose Creek Police are investigating an alleged assault that happened early Sunday morning at Waffle House on Goose Creek Boulevard.

Police arrived at the scene a few minutes before 3 a.m. to find the victim, Jeremiah Kulas, with a white towel wrapped around his bloody hand.

According to Kulas and witnesses, the unknown suspect was in an argument with another patron when Kulas tried to interrupt and was then cut on the hand by an object that is believed to have been a knife. The suspect then fled the scene on a silver and black motorcycle.

A witness who described the suspect as a "biker looking guy," claimed the suspect threatened the crowd before he left, allegedly saying, "I'll fillet you if you step outside."

One witness was able to provide a license plate for the motorcycle, but police could not reach the owner and he was not identified in the initial incident report as a suspect.

Goose Creek Captain John Grainger said Tuesday morning that the investigation is still open.
