Woman Dies in U.S. 52 Wreck

A Moncks Corner woman died in a wreck on Highway 52 on Tuesday afternoon.

Robin Schulte, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Kristin Demmerle. Schulte died from head and body trauma. The death has been ruled an accident.

According to an S.C. Highway Patrol official, Schulte was attempting to turn onto 52 when her car was struck by the other vehicle. No charges have been filed in the case.

The Berkeley County Coroner's Office and the Highway Patrol are investigating the accident.
