The Trident Technical College African American Male Leadership Institute (AAMLI) will host a "Women’s Pampering Day Health Fair" Thursday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Scheduled to take place in the Student Center Lounge (Bldg. 410) on the Main Campus in North Charleston, the event is admission free and open to the public to attend.
Participants will be treated to pampering from head to toe with free blood pressure checks, health screenings and more. Cosmetology personnel will be onsite to provide hair curls and styling tips. A local OBGYN group will be available to answer questions while additional vendors will provide information on physical and nutritional fitness. There are plenty of surprises to help you leave the Health Fair feeling revived, informed and ready for business.
Barbers from Howards Barber & Styling College, instructors from Planet Fitness, Communities in Schools, Curry and Housey P.A., Financial Education Services, Trident Technical College Cosmetology, Advantage Health Care of Charleston, East Cooper Women’s Center OBGYN, nutritionists, nail technicians and other local vendors will all be present to support this cause.

The Trident Technical College African American Male Leadership Institute (AAMLI) is committed to developing leadership potential, as well as promoting academic success and personal achievement among African American males enrolled at TTC. While the program is targeted toward African American males, it is open to TTC students who are interested in developing their leadership potential. Students who participate in TTC’s AAMLI will have the opportunity to tour four-year colleges and universities, tour successful African American owned or operated businesses and meet individuals who run them, attend seminars and visit locations that highlight African American culture and education as well as receive academic tutoring.
