• Upstate student data breached at third-party software provider, districts say (wspa.com) — Families in Greenwood School District 50 are being warned that a cybersecurity breach at software provider Frontline Education may have exposed data for more than 16,000 current and former students, including Medicaid IDs and contact details. District officials say the incident involved a third-party vulnerability, not their own networks, and state education and law enforcement agencies have been notified.
   

• James Lee 'Jimmy' Poole, 78 (newsdemocrat.com) — A Greenwood resident, Leslie Poole, is among the close family mourning James Lee "Jimmy" Poole, a longtime Ripley, Ohio maintenance manager, farmer, and Army Reserve veteran who died October 2. Services and visitation are set for Thursday in Ripley, with condolences accepted online.
