 Jeep Island brings Jeep owners, enthusiasts, local residents, and visitors together for a weekend celebrating Jeep culture, great food, live entertainment, and the Hilton Head Island community.
 Jeep Admission: $50/2 people over age 10 - includes all three events of Jeep Island and parking in Slider Showdown
 General Admission for Slider Showdown: $10, and children ages 10 and younger are free.
 JEEP ISLAND DETAILS
 The weekend begins Friday evening with an Oktoberfest-themed Meet &amp; Greet before moving to Lowcountry Celebration Park Saturday for Jeep Island and Slider Showdown. Following the main event, the celebration continues with the official Jeep Island Afterparty at The Bank. Best of all, proceeds from Jeep Island benefit the Island Recreation Association’s Children’s Scholarship Fund, helping provide local children with access to recreation programs, sports, camps, and activities.

Get ready to cheese the day at the ooey-gooey, golden-delicious Mac and Cheese Festival! Join us on Saturday, October 24th from 5-8pm at Lincoln and South Brewery for a night filled with mouthwatering mac, cold brews, 50/50 Raffle, and college football on the jumbotron! Parking is limited, please carpool if you can! All mac-ed out? Lincoln and South will be selling additional food items. Cashless event!

The <a href="https://www.coastaldiscovery.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Coastal Discovery Museum</a> presents the photography exhibition, A Better Life for Their Children: Julius Rosenwald, Booker T. Washington, and the 4,978 Schools that Changed America, on view August 1–November 1, 2026.
The public is invited to a talk and reception with photographer and author Andrew Feiler on September 17. Talk at at 5 pm, with reception to follow. Admission to the museum is free.
A remarkable collaboration 
The Rosenwald Schools program was a partnership between Jewish philanthropist Julius Rosenwald, president of Sears, Roebuck and Company, and Booker T. Washington, prominent African American educator, leader, and founder of the Tuskegee Institute. Between 1912 and 1937, this historic partnership helped fund the construction of nearly 5,000 schools for Black children in the segregated South and border states.
A Better Life for Their Children features photographs and narratives by Feiler, whose work documents surviving Rosenwald school buildings and tells the stories of people connected to them.

The Coastal Discovery Museum is offering a series of lantern-making workshops for adults and families who want to create a unique lantern to display at Hilton Head Island’s beloved Lantern Parade on Nov. 14. 
The Museum provides the lantern, lights and all crafting supplies.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Space is limited and registration is required.
