• Former Gamecock quarterback donates AEDs to Honea Path Parks & Recreation (foxcarolina.com) — Honea Path's parks and recreation facilities are getting a safety boost thanks to two new AEDs donated by former Gamecock quarterback Connor Shaw. The devices will be available at ball fields, Chiquola Pool, the Recreation Center, workout rooms, and other town programs, expanding emergency readiness for local families and youth activities.
   

• Wood products maker to bring 217 jobs to Upstate (wspa.com) — A major wood-products manufacturer is investing $215 million to build its first South Carolina plant on Hamby Road in Honea Path, bringing 217 new jobs starting in 2027. The facility will produce processed pine products for construction and millwork, and hiring information is already available online for residents interested in applying.
   

• Mathew D. Pruitt (themillennews.com) — Honea Path is remembering Matthew D. Pruitt, 68, who was born in town and recently passed away after a long career as a refueling technician and project manager with Westinghouse. Loved for his music, gardening, and farm life with his wife Hope, he leaves behind children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family; a celebration of life will be held later.
